The purpose of this work-based qualification is to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills they need to operate successfully in facilities services environments. It involves supporting a range of operations including building maintenance, service delivery and site security. The key aspects of any facilities service role include monitoring facilities, developing relationships with colleagues and customers and ensuring healthy and safety is maintained at all times.
It is suitable for candidates to develop skills in a range of areas relevant to facilities services roles, such as communication, working with budgets, health & safety, teamwork, energy efficiency and performance management amongst many optional units available. The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to develop the skills and qualities valued in employees by employers and understand & work on their strengths and weaknesses in facilities services roles.
